Khoshaba Lawo Kanon was a great soccer player who started his athletic career with the Assyrian Club team in 1955. He played for the public Transport Services from 1956 to 1958, and for the Iraqi Air Force from 1958 to 1960.

Khoshaba Lawo became a celebrity in Iraq when his star twinkled in 1957 as a member of the Iraqi National Team. He retired in 1965.

He played soccer for quite a period of time along with famous Iraqi players such as the late Ammo Samson, Abbas Hammadi, Jabbar Reshak, Hisham Ata Ajij, Jamil Abbas, Gilbert Sammy, Ammo Baba, Youra, Edison, etc.

  He was known to be very traditional player, with solid structure and beautiful physical coordination. He was considered to be the youngest player in the Pan Arab  Soccer Championship tournament in which Iraqi team participated and which was held in Beirut, Lebanon in 1957.

His Fans will never forget this great player and his great accomplishments that he ever executed.
